Founded in 2023 by creator Ray-Anthony Height, Studio Skye-Tiger Comics is a high-flying indie comic studio and publishing house that blends anime-inspired energy with classic Western superhero storytelling to deliver bold, character-driven comics where diversity and representation aren’t a feature—they’re the foundation.

Ray built Studio Skye-Tiger after being inspired by manga and animation powerhouses like Naoki Urasawa, Akira Toriyama, Studio Loud In School, Studio Bones, and Studio MIR—but he wanted a less harsh, more supportive version of that environment. With more ideas than one creator could ever produce alone, he created a “teaching hospital” for comics: a studio where mentorship, clarity in storytelling, and clarity in communication are king, and where new and diverse voices can actually grow and thrive.

In that spirit, Ray has teamed up with sensational creator and animator Marcus D. Newsome (Lightning Strike, Nue Dreams) and rising writer Jamal Anansi (The Dark Ones, Ebony, Anansi Comics), bringing their worlds into Studio Skye-Tiger as official imprints. Studio Skye-Tiger builds a shared space for exciting, creator-owned stories that feel like your favorite animated shows—but with the heart, edge, and representation of the best indie comics.
