Ross Richie is the Founder of the comic book publisher BOOM! Studios where he was CEO and Chairman for 19 years. He has published the brands Dune, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, Ben 10, Planet of the Apes, Firefly, Pixar, The Muppets, Jim Henson’s Labyrinth and The Dark Crystal, Hellraiser, Peanuts, Garfield, WWE, The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, The Expanse, Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck, and sold over 1 million copies of Adventure Time.
Ross published Keanu Reeves’ BRZRKR and BOOM!’s Mouse Guard and The Lumberjanes have sold over 1 million copies each. Something Is Killing the Children has sold more than 4 million copies.
Ross produced BOOM!’s film and TV efforts with the Denzel Washington/Mark Wahlberg movie 2 Guns, the R.L. Stine’s Disney+ show Just Beyond, Netflix’ Mech Cadets, the feature film The Empty Man, and is executive producing the Amazon Prime TV show debuting this summer, Butterfly.
Ross sold BOOM! to Penguin Random House in 2024.
