Professional Photo Ops and Pre-sales
A selfie/table photo is a selfie that you, or the guest’s assistant, takes at the guest’s table on the convention floor with a phone or small camera. Professional photo-ops are photos taken by a photographer in front of a studio backdrop, with a professional camera and lighting. By purchasing a professional photo-op, you will also receive a high-quality printout of your photo.
How do pro photo-ops work?
When you purchase a professional photo-op, you will be given a time to meet at the designated photo-op area (not at the guest’s table), where you will wait in line to take your photo with the guest. Make sure you have your QR code tickets ready to scan.
When it’s your turn, you will leave personal items on the table provided, step into the curtained photo-op area, and take your photo. You are welcome to have up to 4 individuals* per Photo Op ticket (this limit does not apply to the talent or children 3 years and younger) unless otherwise noted on the talent sales page.
After you take your photo, you will step out of the booth, collect your belongings, and receive your instructions on picking up your photo printout.
Any other tips about photo ops?
Photo-op interactions can be quick, especially if there are a lot of people in line. If you feel rushed, then try to stop by the guest’s table to chat—they normally have more time for conversations there! If you have a specific pose in mind, we recommend having a reference photo or being able to explain it quickly. Remember that guests are humans too! If they don’t feel comfortable, they may say no to certain poses or props.
What are pre-sales? Do I have to buy everything in advance?
Select items/services may be available for sale prior to the show. If you see pre-sales available for one guest and not for another, don’t panic! Some guests offer pre-sales, and others choose not to. For most guests, you do not need to pre-purchase autographs or table photos/selfies in advance.
- Pre-purchasing autographs, selfies, etc. is recommended for popular guests that are expected to have very long lines.
- Pre-purchasing professional photo-ops is recommended for all guests because photo-ops are scheduled timeslots. However, photo-ops may still be purchased on-site at the convention.
More Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to bring something for the guest to sign?
You do not need to. Most guests have prints available at their table that they will sign.
Can I bring my own prints/items for a guest to sign?
Yes, most guests are willing to sign prints/items that you bring. Guests may choose not to sign certain items, or to charge different prices for certain items. (ex. Sting will not sign bats)
Do I need to pay with cash or card?
Most guests will accept both but there may be some that accept cash only. They will be indicated on the Guest Pricing once available.
What does it mean if a price is blank/not included on the pricing sheet?
That service is not one the guest is currently offering at our show.
How do I purchase autographs or other at-table services (selfies, recordings, etc)?
Some guests may offer pre-purchase through our photo-ops link available closer to the show but for most guests, you will purchase these services at their table during the convention.
How do I purchase professional photo-ops?
Once on sale, there will be a link to professional photo-ops through Epic. You will be able to pre-purchase any professional photo-op options offered and redeem it at the convention during the time Epic issues you once that schedule is set, typically about a week or two out from the event.
If I have questions about autographs or photo-ops, what do I do?
Please check the Epic site and check under Info. They have an entire FAQ and support email that can assist you with anything related to the professional photo-ops and pre-purchased autographs.

What happens to photo-ops if a guest cancels?
If a guest appearance is canceled, photo-ops and pre-purchased services through Epic will be refunded. Admission tickets to the convention are non-refundable.
