Craig Miller worked as a publicity and licensing consultant on films including Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back, The Dark Crystal, The Thing, The Black Cauldron, Splash, Altered States, The Last Starfighter, Real Genius, Excalibur, The Wicker Man and many others before turning his creative energies to writing. He has been writing, developing, and producing for TV, films, comics, and games for over 25 years. The majority of his work has been for the children’s and young adult market. His 104-episode TV series Pocket Dragon Adventures was seen seven days a week on the BBC and in over 100 countries around the world. His work in animation ranges from the multiple Emmy-winning Curious George and The Smurfs to Beast Wars to The Real Ghostbusters. He and his work are in demand outside the U.S. as well. For CCTV, the official Chinese TV network, he co-developed and wrote episodes of the series Flute Master, which has been a major hit in China, playing to over 265 million viewers. He’s developed and written series for companies in Australia, Italy, France, Latin America, and other countries. Most recently he’s developed and supervised the writing on two series for the Middle East’s new Majid Kids Network. Miller has been a speaker on filmmaking, writing, and animation at the Annecy Animation Festival in France, Cartoons on the Bay in Italy, Animayo Animation & VFX Festival in Spain, and the Interactive Entertainment Festival in Scotland, as well as for the National Association of Television Program Executives (NATPE), KidScreen Summit, the Writers Guild of America, the World Animation Summit, Animation Expo, the San Diego Comic Con, and many other events.
